Meet Maia
Maia Marcus, LCSW is a psychotherapist specializing in the treatment of adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression and mood disorders, trauma, disordered eating, and a range of psychosocial stressors.
Maia’s therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that meaningful change begins with self-compassion. She integrates evidence-based modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support clients in building emotional regulation, distress tolerance, acceptance strategies, and cognitive flexibility.
Maia is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) with specialized training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), offering trauma-informed care tailored to each client’s unique needs.
She also has advanced training in Perinatal Mental Health and is currently pursuing her Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C), with the goal of providing thoughtful, informed support to individuals navigating the emotional challenges of pregnancy and the postpartum period.
